You can take great walks all year round in North- and Central Limburg. Enjoy the colourful landscape, beautiful wooded areas, special areas of natural beauty and characteristic village centres. The two national parks, NP De Meinweg and NP De Groote Peel, and the areas of natural beauty that cross national boundaries such as Grenspark Kempen~Broek, Rivierpark Maasvallei and the Maas-Swalm-Nette area all have numerous walking routes to plan by numbered intersections. Routes will not only take you past the most beautiful spots in Central Limburg, but also over the border into Germany and Belgium.
(Numbered) Walking route system
North- and Central Limburg has an extensive network of walking routes, marked by numbered intersections. This easy to follow signposted system offers hikers an infinite number of possible routes. A large number of these routes are traffic free walking routes and small ferries provide river crossings.

Use the digital walking route planner on this website to plan your route in advance. Each municipality in North- and Central Limburg has its own map with numbered intersections. These maps can be obtained from the Tourist Information offices or via the webshop.
