The industrial exploitation of the area on the Roer started in 1798. And since 1926 the building has been called Electro Chemische Industrie (ECI). After various interpretations, the last production line stopped permanently in 1974 and the building slowly but surely fell into disrepair.
Now, more than 40 years later, the weather is buzzing like never before. Today, ECI Roermond is a unique location in Central Limburg where people can meet, work and relax.
