Shopping and strolling

Some people do it everywhere, some only in their familiar surroundings. Some like to do it alone, others prefer to do it in company. Fact is, everyone feels comfortable with it. It is a popular pastime for women in particular. But do not underestimate the men! Clearly, we are talking about shopping, and in Midden-Limburg you can do that, especially in Roermond and Weert which are the region’s shopping cities par excellence.

Although online shopping grows in popularity, it cannot be compared to the real thing. Home shopping on the computer may be useful in some cases,  but it’s so much better if ou can actually see, touch and smell your purchases. After all, your senses play a role  that should not be underestimated. And if you want to trigger them, the welcoming Roermond and Weert are an excellent choice. Both shopping cities breathe historic ambience and accommodate a variety of nationally and internationally known chains and a wide variety of boutiques and speciality shops, each with their specific identity. Therefore both Roermond and Weert exert a huge attraction for many Dutch shopping tourists, but also from our neighboring Belgian and German shoppers.
