Central Limburg has two national parks and numerous natural areas, each with its own natural characteristic. There are also several visitor centers, where you get information about the area and the route possibilities.

While cycling through the middle of Limburg, you might need to continue your tour by a ferry-boat in order to cross a river or a stream. Various bicycle and foot ferries connect a number of places with each other so you can optimally enjoy all the beauty that Middle-Limburg has to offer.

In the rural area of Weert you ride along many interesting cultural-historical objects, such as monumental farms with their characteristic backeries, field crosses and chapels. You will also pass several wind- and watermills. A whopping eight windmills and a water mill are still maintained and are open for visitors on occasoin.

Unique to cycling in the middle of Limburg is that the network crosses the border to connect to the German and Belgian network. On one afternoon you can have beer in Belgium and eat your pastry in Germany.
