The municipality of Beesel, which consists of the communities of Beesel, Reuver and Offenbeek, is located between the two towns of Venlo and Roermond. The entire area, especially the center of Beesel, typifies the friendly nature of the Limburg people.

Beesel is a village full of character which has many historic buildings and a charming market square which is surrounded by restaurants. In this village you will discover ancient traditions. The village has a strong afinity with the story of Saint George and the Dragon and you will find evidence all around of the Dragon Play which is performed every seven years. Additionally, you can enjoy the beauty of the local ceramics which are a model of creativity. This village is charactersied by the hospitality of the people with strong ties to their community.
Reuver and Offenbeek
The centers of Reuver and Beesel, with a variety of shops complemented by a number of small restaurants, are also worth visiting. The beautiful landscape (including Meerle Broek and Beesel Broek) and small hamlets (such as Ronckenstein and Rijkel) between the villages is also worth a look
Beesel: ideal for walking and cycling
You will also find an abundance of walking trails, bike paths, horseriding trails and nordic walking routes around Beesel that you can truly enjoy.If you would like to explore the western side of the Maas you can take a ride on the picturesque pedestrian and cycle ferry.
Beesel is easily accessible via the A73 motorway and over the border in Germany you can find the Brachterwald and Brüggen town in close proximity.
